Last night Wellington based IT company, Core Technology, won a top award for its ground-breaking, Cloud computing Software Development Environment, AVIARC® at the 11th annual Consensus Software Awards in Sydney. Only six companies from New Zealand and Australia from 13 finalists met all three criteria of INNOVATION PERFORMANCE and POTENTIAL. The awards were held in Sydney and presented by Australia's Minister for Broadband, Senator Stephen Conroy, Minister for Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy.

"Aviarc® is not only a new technology it represents a completely different approach to developing software. It has been created using a unique kiwi blend of creativity, talent and perspiration and has been proven in a wide range of public sector, corporations and business sectors in NZ and Australia.
Core Technology is preparing to launch on the global market and has already signed up a large client in the US.

Core Technology has three branches and has spent six years developing its Aviarc® Development Suite assisted by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and The Foundation for Research, Science and Technology. It has recently been appointed to the Government's advisory board for cloud computing.
